Anne Fontaine Sibertin-Blanc (born July 15, 1959 in Luxembourg ) is a French actress , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Anne Fontaine was born in Luxembourg as the daughter of a music professor. She later moved to Paris , where she studied dance and philosophy. In 1980 she made her debut as an actress in David Hamilton's erotic film Tender Cousins and later switched to directing. For her film Augustin, Kung-Fu-König (1999) Fontaine worked with her brother Jean-Chrétien Sibertin-Blanc , who played the title role. As a director she is best known for the erotic drama Nathalie (2003) and the biopic Coco Chanel - The Beginning of a Passion (2009).

Fontaine is married to the film producer Philippe Carcassonne , with whom she adopted a boy from Vietnam .
