Days on the Beach (original title: Adore ) is a film adaptation of the novel A Child of Love by the Nobel Prize winner for literature Doris Lessing . Directed by Anne Fontaine ; the shooting was done in Australia. The film premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival .

Lil and Roz have been best friends since childhood and grew up together in an idyllic small town on the Australian east coast. After Lil's husband dies, the friendship between the two grows closer. A similarly intimate friendship develops between their sons. When the four spend a summer together, an affair develops between one mother and the other's son . What started as an erotic adventure soon becomes a problem as the emotions of those involved develop in different directions.
