Anne Schröder

Anne Schröder (born September 11, 1994 in Düsseldorf ) is a German national hockey player .

Anne Schröder started playing hockey at Crefelder HTC . When her father Stefan Schröder went to the Wiesbadener Kurier as a journalist , Anne Schröder switched to the hockey department of the Rüsselsheim Rowing Club 08 . In the Rüsselsheim youth she was looked after by coach Berthold Rauth , who later moved to Hamburg. After graduating from high school, Anne Schröder began studying psychology, also in Hamburg, where she played in the Bundesliga under Jens George and Berthold Rauth at Club an der Alster .

Since 2009 she also played in the German national teams of different age groups, in 2011 she took second place at the U18 European Championship with the selection of the German Hockey Association. After making her debut in the senior national team on March 28, 2013 , she lost to the team from the Netherlands in the 2014 European indoor hockey championship in the final . A year later, the Dutch women also won the final of the 2015 World Indoor Hockey Championship . In the same year Anne Schröder reached third place with the German national team by defeating Spain at the European outdoor championship . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she and the German team won the bronze medal match against New Zealand . For this success, she and her team were honored with the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 .
