Annelie Paulus

Annelie Maria Paulus (born May 30, 1956 in Schmelz ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Paulus studied German literature and history from 1977 for teaching at grammar schools. She is a Magistra in Ancient History . After completing her studies, she worked at Saarland University as a research assistant and then as an education officer in the public sector. From 1999 she worked in the private sector.

Paul is Roman Catholic. She is single and lives in Schmelz, where she was born.

The Junge Union and the CDU is part of Paulus since 1977, also is a member of the Women's Union . Since 1986 she has had a seat on the local council of her home town of Schmelz. After failing to enter parliament in the 1999 state elections , she was able to move up for MP Franz-Josef Berg in March 2004 . There she belonged to the Committee on Education, Culture and Science, the Europe Committee and the Environment Committee. In the state elections in September 2004 she did not run again, so that she left the state parliament after just six months.

Paulus also ran for the German Bundestag in 1998 and 2002 via the Saarland CDU state list .
