Anneliese Kerler

Anneliese Kerler (born March 15, 1925 in Bayersried as Anneliese Rothermel ; † May 12, 1996 ) was a German farmer and politician .

Anneliese Kerler attended elementary school and middle school for girls at the Ursberg monastery and finished her school career with secondary school leaving certificate. She gained experience in agriculture in her parents' business. At the farm women’s school of the BBV she did the external apprenticeship, the assistant examination and finally in 1961 the master’s examination in rural housekeeping. She managed the farm until 1988, when she handed it over to her son.

Kerler volunteered in the Bavarian Farmers 'Association at a young age in the rural youth, she was also the girls' representative of the Catholic youth . As a rural youth representative, she was a member of the presidium of the BBV. She was a local farmer, deputy district farmer in the Krumbach district , district farmer of Swabia and deputy state farmer. She was also a member of the state committee for educational policy issues, the advisory board of the BBV education department and the media council of the Bavarian state center for new media . She became politically active as a district councilor, from 1956 in the Krumbach district, after the district reform in the Günzburg district . From 1970 to 1992 she was a lay judge at the juvenile court . From 1977 to 1983 and again from 1987 to 1992 she was a member of the Bavarian Senate for the Agriculture and Forestry Group.
