Description of the series of programs

The individual programs were moderated by the opera singer ( lyric soprano ) and chamber singer Anneliese Rothenberger . The programs recorded in advance were broadcast on ZDF from 1971 . Different singers appeared in each of the programs and performed a sample of their repertoire . The focus of this musical performance was usually limited to the fields of opera , operetta , musicals and chamber singing, with hits and folk music also being represented. Guests were u. a. Plácido Domingo , Johannes Heesters , Jürgen von Manger and Paul Hörbiger .

Old recordings were occasionally repeated on the ZDFtheaterkanal .
