Annemarie Reitsamer

Annemarie Reitsamer (born February 19, 1941 in Sankt Gilgen ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Reitsamer was a member of the National Council between 1990 and 2001 .

education and profession

After primary and secondary school, Reitsamer attended commercial school between 1955 and 1957 . In 1963 she passed the B-Matura .

Reitsamer worked from 1957 to 1960 as a secretary in a law firm and from 1960 to 1965 was employed as a telegraph press at the Salzburg Post and Telegraph Inspectorate. Between 1965 and 1966 she spent a period abroad in France and was then until 1977 cashier with payroll accounting at the Zwölferhorn Seilbahn GmbH in St. Gilgen. She then worked from 1977 to 1994 as the state secretary of the SPÖ Salzburg.

Reitsamer was a local representative of St. Gilgen between 1984 and 1989 and then a local councilor until 1999. Between 1989 and 1995 she was also parliamentary group leader and from 1979 to 1995 local party leader of the SPÖ St. Gilgen. In 1992 she was elected deputy district chairman of the SPÖ Flachgau. Within the party, Reitsamer was also a member of the SPÖ state party executive, federal party executive and the federal party presidium. From 1992 she also acted as the state women’s chairwoman and was a member of the Federal Women’s Committee. In 1995 she was elected deputy party chairwoman of the SPÖ Salzburg.

Reitsamer represented the SPÖ in the National Council between November 5, 1990 and February 28, 2001. She retired in 2001.
