The church

The Protestant Church of St. Anne is located in the Keßlar district of the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

The church and its surroundings are centrally located in the Rundlingsdorf .

history

The building of the church is of Romanesque origin. The renovation took place in the 16th and 18th centuries.

For renovation

It took place from 1989 to 1991. Much has been done. A new portal adorns the church. There was a new version of the peasant Baroque inventory with the reorganization in the chancel . The gothic Anna altar by the Meckfeld master from 1504 has been restored.

The organ from the 19th century was repaired in 2009 and 2010.

The church tower was then secured . Some rafters have been replaced. The roof boarding was renewed and provided with old German cover with Rhenish slate . The roof protection and the dormer windows with windows were completed. A tower clock and a lantern with the weather vane were installed.
