Annette Scheunpflug (* 1963 ) is a German educator and professor at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg.

Life

Annette Scheunpflug studied music education , school education and Protestant religious education at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . From 1990 to 1994 she was a research assistant at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg , where she submitted a doctoral thesis in 1994 on the subject of the history of development education in Germany in schools and youth associations . In 1999 she received her habilitation (subject: evolutionary didactics ). She represented a professorship in Bamberg and was appointed professor for educational research at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen in 2000. From 2001 to 2013 she was professor for general education at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . Since 2013 she has been Professor of General Pedagogy at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg. In 2018 she was elected a full member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .

Offices

She is the chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Evangelical Foundation for Pathfinding of the Association of Christian Scouts and Scouts and chairwoman of the Chamber for Education, Children and Youth of the EKD .

Teaching

Scheunpflug deals with systematic questions of general educational science and educational research as well as evolutionary educational science and pedagogical anthropology . It compares educational approaches around the world, with a focus on cosmopolitan education and global learning .
