Annette Weber (art historian)

Annette Weber (born 1957 in Hamburg ) is a German art historian.

Life

Annette Weber studied art history, archeology, ancient history and Jewish studies in Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Paris and received her doctorate in 1984 under Erik Forssman in Freiburg. From 1986 onwards she was a research assistant at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt and curated the exhibitions "Expressionism and Exile" (1990), "The Rothschilds - a European Family" (1994), " Moritz Daniel Oppenheim " (1999) and "Chagall and Germany "(2004)

Since 2004 she has been a professor for Jewish art and culture at the University for Jewish Studies in Heidelberg . Weber is also the editor of Trumah magazine there .
