Annette Wilmes

Annette Wilmes (* 1955 ) is a German freelance journalist and presenter in Berlin, who reported a lot for the SFB and Deutschlandfunk and as a court reporter for various print media.

Life

She made her entry into journalism during school at the Plettenberg local section of the Westfälische Rundschau . She then studied in Cologne and Berlin, reporting from the Moabit Criminal Court and about convicts during her studies . In 1979 she finished her studies at the Free University of Berlin with a Magister Artium in Journalism , Adult Education and Sociology . This was followed by a few years as a court reporter for the broadcasters of the ARD , while in 1980 she worked as an author and presenter for the Kultur-Welle and SFBeat of the Sender Freies Berlin (SFB).

She reported on site about the evacuation of occupied houses and demonstrations against air pollution and tariff increases by the transport companies. In 1986, her book “Right happens to them” was published, for which Gerhard Mauz wrote the foreword.

She also wrote for Die Zeit , after the fall of the Wall for the weekly post and other print media.

She reported on a number of special legal topics that she made her readers understandable and is the author and contributor of 23 issues of the daily program “ Background ” in the DLF and other programs.
