Career

Together with Ophelia Preller , she qualified for the first time for the canoe racing European championships in 2017 in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv , and the two started in the two-man canoe over 500 meters. After they had reached the A-final, they had to be content with ninth and last place in a time of 2: 11.284 minutes. Nevertheless, this placement was a success for the young team, and they were nominated for the Canoe Racing World Championships 2017 in the Czech city of Račice u Štětí . There they started again over the 500 meters and reached the final. They finished seventh in a time of 2: 04.547 minutes.

Due to shoulder problems of her actual partner Ophelia Preller , she started in the single Canadier in 2018 . With her first World Cup victory over 5000 meters, she qualified for the European Canoe Racing Championships 2018 in Belgrade and started there not only over the 5000 meter distance, but also over 500 meters. In the latter distance she reached the final, which was held on July 9th. There she secured fifth place in a time of 2: 09.813 minutes. She also achieved the same placement in the 5000 meter race, in which she achieved a time of 27: 36.150 minutes.

Due to these good performances, she also qualified for the Canoe Racing World Championships 2018 in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal, and was allowed to start again in both disciplines. Annika Loske could not qualify for the A-final over 500 meters, but had to start in the B-final. There she was able to win the race in 2: 22.162 minutes and thus secured 10th place. In the 5000 meter race, the German caused a surprise when she took the silver medal in a time of 27: 52.541 minutes behind the favorite Laurence Vincent-Lapointe .
