Natti Natasha (born December 10, 1986 in Santiago de los Caballeros ; actually Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista ) is a reggaeton and Latin pop singer from the Dominican Republic .

biography

Natalia Gutiérrez grew up in Santiago de los Caballeros , the second largest city in the Dominican Republic . As a child, she sang in church and went to an arts school. At 14, she began recording songs and participating in competitions and shows. She founded the band D'style with a few friends and performed throughout the region. There she met a producer and talent scout from Don Omar 's Orfanato label . She made test recordings for a music project and was invited to New York . After Don Omar got to know them himself, he became their sponsor. The first joint recording Dutty Love became a big hit in Latin America in 2012.

In the same year she also released her first album All About Me , which was unsuccessful. Instead she had more hits in South America with Don Omar and Farruko over the next few years . Perdido en tus ojos also became an international YouTube hit and aroused the interest of other Latin musicians in working together. Otra cosa with Daddy Yankee was her first hit in the US Latin charts in 2017. The big international breakthrough came in the same year with Criminal , that she recorded with Ozuna . It hit the charts in numerous countries and in Spain it was even number 1 for three weeks . In the USA, it entered the Hot 100 and was awarded 15 times platinum in the Latin area. After two smaller successes with Bad Bunny and RKM & Ken-Y, another big hit followed in spring 2018. Sin pijama together with the American singer and actress Becky G brought her to number 1 in Spain for the second time and also to the top of the American Latin pop charts.
