Material and rules

A historical event is briefly described on the front of each card, the date and sometimes further explanations are on the back.

At the beginning of the game each player receives an equal number of cards, of which he can only look at the front. A starting card is placed in the middle. Now the players in turn place cards in front of, between or behind the cards in the middle, thus forming a time series. This continues until a player doubts that all events are still in the correct order. Then the cards are turned over and the correctness is checked on the basis of the times indicated on the back. If the row is correct , the doubter has to take new cards from the pile; if it is wrong, his predecessor receives more cards. (Even if the mistake happened earlier, but was not noticed before.) Then a new row is started with a new start card. If a player places his last card, the time series is checked immediately. If it is correct, he wins the game.

The events described on the cards rarely come from historical school knowledge . Therefore, they can usually only be roughly classified and skillful bluffing is often more important than knowledge of history.
