Anouchka van Miltenburg (born April 20, 1967 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch politician of the Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie (VVD). From September 25, 2012 to December 12, 2015 she was Chairwoman of the Second Chamber of the States General .

Anouchka van Miltenburg attended the journalism school in Tilburg until she graduated in 1991 . From 1991 to 2001 she worked as a freelance journalist for the Brabants Dagblad and the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), among others .

From 2002 to 2003 Anouchka van Miltenburg was a council member in Zaltbommel . She has been a member of the Second Chamber since 2003. Her main areas of work there are mass media and medical ethics .

In the elections for the chamber chairmanship on September 25, 2012, she ran against Khadija Arib from the Partij van de Arbeid and Gerard Schouw from Democrats 66 . After the second round, Schouw was eliminated. In the third ballot, van Miltenburg received 90 and Arib 56 votes. On December 12, 2015, she resigned as chairman of the chamber after her work was put under too much pressure due to her role in the so-called " Teeven Deal".

Anouchka van Miltenburg has been married to Chris Halkes since 1991 and has 3 children. She is a member of the Catholic Church and lives in Zaltbommel .
