Ansgar Rau

Ansgar Rau (born November 15, 1959 in Bonn ) is a German radio journalist. He is editor- in- chief at WDR 2 in Cologne.

Life

Rau studied English and history from 1980 to 1986 at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1986/87 he worked for the Badische Zeitung and as a presenter for the private broadcasters Radio Südtirol 1 (formerly Radio Brenner), Radio Nürnberg 1 and Radio Würzburg 1. In 1989 he was an intern at SWF3 and then went to the regional studio in Freiburg as a freelance journalist of the SWF. In 1998 Ansgar Rau left SWF3 and moved to SWR1 Rheinland-Pfalz as editor -in-chief . Until the end of 2001 he helped to build the new national broadcaster of the SWR, which had arisen from the merger of SWF and SDR. In 2002 Ansgar Rau switched to WDR 2 in Cologne.
