Ansgar Sailer

Ansgar Sailer (* August 1969 in Heiligenzell ) is a German musician , arranger , conductor , music teacher and international juror according to CISM .

Life

Sailer grew up in Heiligenzell, a district of Friesenheim (Baden) . He started his wind music career in the local music association and took lessons at the Lahr music school . He turned his hobby into a profession and studied trombonist with Oliver Siefert at the Karlsruhe University of Music from 1989 to 1994 , followed by postgraduate studies with Werner Schrietter. Between 1995 and 1999 he was Principal Sub at the Musical Theater Miss Saigon , Stuttgart. At the same time, he was trombone consultant at the Evangelical Youth Organization in Württemberg between 1994 and 1999 , taught at the music school Westlicher Enzkreis and was then until 2003 both music consultant in the Liebenzeller community association and music teacher and choir conductor at the theological seminar of the Liebenzeller Mission . From 2003 to 2009, Sailer was a brass teacher at the Altensteig music school . From 2009 to 2017 he was department head for wind instruments, percussion and wind orchestra leader at the Heilbronn Music School . From 2001 to 2009 he worked as a conductor for the Musikverein Kuppingen , then between 2009 and 2011 for the Musikverein Kappelwindeck and since 2011 for the Musikverein Stadtkapelle Bretten . Sailer is the director of the brass ensemble Brass +, which he founded in 2001, and has been director of the Südliche Bergstrasse music school based in Wiesloch since March 2018.

Private

Ansgar Sailer is married to Susanne. The couple have three children and live in Eppingen .
