Ansgar Varnhagen (born October 28, 1979 ) is a German athlete.

The specialist for medium and long haul has been with LG Olympia Dortmund since 1996 .

His successes include 12 medals at German championships, mainly in the 3 x 1000 meter relay. He and the team won the German championship over this route in 2003. There was also the 2005 championship in cross (also with the Dortmund team).

As an individual athlete, one of the outstanding results was winning the New Year's Eve run from Werl to Soest between 2002 and 2006. This makes him one of the “kings” of this run, together with Belgian Jean Weijts .
