Facade painting with St. Christopher and St. Florian

The Colz residence in St. Leonhard , a district of the Abtei community in South Tyrol , has been a protected architectural monument since 1949 . It should not be confused with the Colz residence in the Stern district, which is also located in the compartment .

The former aristocratic residence has a cripple hipped roof . Inside, the barrel vaulted corridors are provided with stitch caps and plaster ridges (a work mark with “HW 1604”) and pointed arched doors.

The facade fresco with St. Christopher and St. Florian dates from the 17th century. Inside, the paintings on a wooden wall (Creation of Eve , Fall of Man) and in the shield arches ( Crucifixion , Brazen Serpent ) date from 1612.
