Residence Gasthofgut
The Ansitz Gasthofgut (also called Gasthof in der Fritz ) is located in the municipality of Eben im Pongau in the St. Johann im Pongau district of Salzburg Province (Gasthofberg district). The Gasthofgut was once a Urbar provost of the pin Admont , is now in him a motorway service station and in the formerly associated Prince case the Tauern motorway Museum established.
history
As early as the 8th century, the bishopric of Salzburg received large forest areas in Pongau from the Bavarian dukes of the Agilolfinger family. Archbishop Gebhard endowed the Admont Abbey, which he founded, with part of this property. In 1074 a Scratengastei (derived from ahd. Scrato = elf , Schratt ) is mentioned, which later became the inn . The Admont Abbey set up its own land propst in the Fritz for the newly won cleared land . Albero von Schratengastei is mentioned as the first land provost in 1197 . Under the land provost Eustach Jägermeister (1443–1462), a landlord's fair for beer and wine is purchased here. A Georg Perkhaimer (1484–1497) donated a Gothic winged altar for the house chapel .
Between 1513 and 1575 the offices of the archbishopric caretaker of Radstadt and the landed provost in the Fritz were united under one count of Schernberg . In 1525 Christoph Graf got the succession of sons secured against a fee. Ott Georg Graf had the buildings renewed during his tenure (1534–1564). Due to the indebtedness of these renovations, the Admont Abbey had to leave the inn to the counts. Eventually Admont was forced to pledge the Fritz provost and its office in Lungau in 1556 to the bishopric of Salzburg and finally to sell it to Archbishop Johann Jakob in 1575 . The associated goods were incorporated into the "Archbishop's Court Land Registry Propstei Fritz". As the hotel and the associated box were as free self Archbishop in a Hofmeierei converted and worked by tenants. The tenants were Augustin Felser (1575), Andrä Ainwöger, Thomas Wisperger, Thomas Schönrainer (1648) and Christian Schrotter (1678).
In 1695 the inn was sold to Hans Laubichler. The associated grain box remained under the management of the court chamber until the basic discharge in 1848 and served as a Zehentstadel and is known as the Fürstenstadl . Since then, the inn has remained in the possession of the Laubichler family and, from 1926, the Anselmi family, by marriage. The current owner is the Republic of Austria.
Gasthofgut today
The property is located on a slope terrace from which one can look to the Hochkönig and to the southeast to the watershed between Fritztal and Enns . Today the Tauern Autobahn runs below the property .
The actual inn, the brick-built, three-storey grain box, stables, an oven and the farmer's bath have been preserved . In the 17th century a wooden house chapel was added and later equipped with cross vaults . The coat of arms frescoes on the grain box show the dates 1657 and 1772. The fresco of a sundial was commissioned by Ott Georg Graf. It contains an alliance coat of arms with the coat of arms of the Count of Schernberg and the Kuenburgers . The wife of Ott Georg Graf came from this family. There is also the coat of arms of Archbishop Hieronymus Colloredo and a red chalk drawing of the blood men . A view of Radstadt has been preserved on the north side. The stone walls come from the renovation around 1557. The wooden structures have been renewed over the centuries. The Tauern Road Museum is set up in the former grain box . It was acquired by the municipality of Eben in 2009.
Today the inn is a motorway service station.
