The Schneeburg residence is in the municipality of Mils near Hall in Tirol .

The late Gothic residence on the western edge of the village was built in 1553 by Hans Schneeberger von Salthaus . His son Ruprecht Schneeberger acquired the name Schneeberger von Schneeburg in 1581 when he was ennobled and named the mansion, which was now suitable for the state parliament. From 1581 to 1583 he built the eastern donjon-shaped tower, which was originally closed with battlements. In 1633 the brothers Hans Dietrich von Schneeburg and Hans Wolfgang von Schneeburg added a north wing to the residence and revitalized the facades by five corners. After the earthquake of 1670 the battlements of the tower were removed and a hipped roof was put on.

The architectural structure of the facade painting and its figural scenes are in the style of the Renaissance . Also in the Renaissance style there are two doors with ruins architecture from 1558 by an artist from the circle of Hans Waldner . Furthermore two Renaissance tiled stoves. There is early baroque paneling from 1661.

From the former house chapel there is an altarpiece of the Assumption by Franz Lucchese from 1605.
