Antonio Ximenes

António Ximenes (born October 29, 1952 in Bahu , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party and the party's first vice-coordinator in the Manatuto municipality .

From 2012 to 2017, Ximenes was a Member of the National Parliament of East Timor and a member of the Commission on Health, Education, Culture, Veterans and Gender Equality. Before that he was a teacher at a secondary school and a freedom fighter against the Indonesian occupation. In the 2017 elections , Ximenes was no longer on the CNRT's electoral list and thus left parliament.

Ximenes is the holder of the Ordem da Guerrilha , second degree.
