Masaaki Tsukada

Masaaki Tsukada ( Japanese 塚 田 正 昭 , Tsukada Masaaki ; born December 16, 1938 in Kawasaki , † January 27, 2014 in Yokohama ) was a Japanese voice actor ( seiyū ).

Life

Masaaki Tsukada learned acting from his Engeki Kenkyūjo ( 青年 演劇 研究所 ), which he graduated in 1959 and became a member of the acting company Gekidan Tōgei ( 劇 団 東 芸 ) in 1964 . He later got a contract with the Mausu Promotion agency and switched to dubbing for anime as well as dubbing foreign films and series.

He was known for his role as Genryūsai in the anime series Bleach , and in Japan for Kobayashicha in the series Ojarumaru, which ran from 1998 to 2014 .

Masaaki Tsukada died on January 27, 2014 after falling ill. He left behind his wife Masako Nozawa , who is also a voice actress.
