Anta do Patalim
The Anta do Patalim (also called Anta 2 do Patalim) is a megalithic complex west of the motorway junction No. 5 (Arraiolos / Escoural) of the A5 motorway (Lisbon - Évora) towards Montemor between the EN114 and the A5 located directly on the A5 in the Évora district in the Alentejo in Portugal . Anta or dolmen is the Portuguese name for around 5000 megalithic structures that were built during the Neolithic in the west of the Iberian Peninsula by the successors of the cardial or imprint culture .
All seven bearing stones of the large Anta, which lies under cork oaks , are still preserved, while the capstone and remains of the corridor are missing. The chamber diameter is 3.20 m.
