Antanas adomaitis
Antanas Adomaitis (born January 24, 1902 in Kudirkos Naumiestis , † November 22, 1936 in Kaunas ) was a Catholic clergyman, organist and university professor.
Life
After the high school in Naumiestis he studied from 1920 at the seminary Sejn. In 1926 he was ordained a priest. He studied at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas , from 1931 to 1932 he attended the Kaunas Music School (organ with Juozas Naujalis ). From 1932 he studied Grigal chant and music at the Pontifical Institute for Church Music in Rome, in 1935 he received his doctorate on the subject of “Del Buono della Salmodia di S. Niceto versc. di Traveri ", Dr. in church music . From 1935 he taught music at the Kaunas seminary and at the Vilkaviškis seminary . In 1936 he visited the United States and taught organ music there.
