Antanas Bezaras

Antanas Bezaras (* 1955 in Aban , Krasnoyarsk Region , Russia ) is a Lithuanian politician. He is the mayor of the Šiauliai district municipality .

Life

His grandparents and parents were deported to Siberia .

After graduating from high school, Antanas Bezaras graduated from Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija near Kaunas in 1985 with a diploma in agronomy . 1978–1994 he worked as an agronomist in the Pavenčiai factory and was the deputy director. 1994-2000 he was a farmer. From 2011 to 2015 he was deputy mayor and since 2015 he has been again mayor of the Šiauliai district . He was elected in the 2015 local elections in Lithuania and in the 2019 local elections in Lithuania .

Antanas Bezaras is a member of the Lietuvos valstiečių partija .

He headed the Lietuvos mėsinių galvijų augintojų ir gerintojų asociacija (Association).
