Anthony Sarpong

Michael Anthony Sarpong Kumankomah (born February 19, 1982 in Kumasi , Ghana ) is a Ghanaian-German cook , restaurateur and cookbook author .

Career

Anthony Sarpong was born in Ghana and grew up in Wiesbaden. He took German citizenship in 1995 and began his training as a chef in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Wiesbaden in 1998 . After his training, Anthony Sarpong worked both as a private chef and in various star kitchens around the world before opening his restaurant and cooking school, the Anthony’s in Meerbusch , in 2014 . From May 2017 to March 2019 he also took over the "Reiterstübchen" in Neuss.

Anthony Sarpong has been working as Culinaric Director in two restaurants in the Steigenberger Hotel Petersberg since May 2019 .

Anthony Sarpong is married and has 3 children.
