Anthony Sims Jr. (* 23. February 1995 ) is an American boxer in the cruiserweight undefeated and currently (as of 2017).

Amateur career

Sims joined the amateurs in the light heavyweight division and won in 2012 at the US Championships and the National PAL Championships each a bronze medal . At the US Championships he defeated James Brannon, Cethorio Davidson, Tony Mack and Malcolm McAllister before losing to Marcus Browne just on points.

At the US National PAL Championships he beat Vince Baccus and Leo Hall and had to admit defeat to D'Mitrius Ballard.

In addition, Sims took part in the youth world championships that year , where he defeated Edgaras Limanas from Lithuania in his first fight by classic knockout in round 1 and was defeated by the Armenian Nikol Arutyunov in the second fight.

Professional career

The 1.85 meter tall Sims junior made his professional debut on April 19, 2014 in Indianapolis , Indiana against James Lee Guy. Sims decided this fight clearly and unanimously on points (3x 40:36). This fight was the only one so far that he won on points; he won all others by knockout.
