Anthony Spinelli

Anthony Spinelli , pseudonym Sam Weston (born February 21, 1927 in Cleveland , Ohio as Sam Weinstein , † May 29, 2000 in Los Angeles , California ), was an American director , actor and film producer who also directed pornographic films .

Career

Spinelli played in the 1960s as an actor in films like Alfred Hitchcock presents and Ruf not too loud and produced films like Gun Fever or Ruf not too loud before he turned to pornography and only appeared as a director and producer. In 1978 the German composer and music producer Berry Lipman set the film " SexWorld " by Spinelli to music . Spinelli's 1981 film Nothing To Hide was awarded five hardcore industry awards and is one of the classics of porn film history.

In 1981 he received the Erotic Film Award for the film Nothing To Hide from the Adult Film Association of America . In 1985 he received the AVN Director Award for Best Director (for the film Dixie Ray Hollywood Star ). In 1986 he was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame and the Adult Video News Hall of Fame .

Private

Spinelli was married to Roslyn Gold. His brother Jack Weston (1924–1996) was an actor, his son Mitchell Spinelli is a porn film director.
