Anthony Taylor (basketball coach)

Anthony D. Taylor (* 1969 / 1970 ) is an American basketball coach .

career

Taylor played basketball at El Camino High School ( California ) and Geneva College ( Pennsylvania ), then as a professional in Argentina . From 1998 the American head coach of TV 1860 Lich and led the team in the 1998/99 season to promotion to the basketball league , where he also looked after the Lich team in the 1999/2000 season. His players there included Tyron McCoy and Michael Nachreiner , among others .

He started the 2000/01 season as coach of the second division club Eintracht Frankfurt , but in January 2001 he switched to the head coach of the Bundesliga club Oldenburger TB , although Eintracht initially refused to release him. At the beginning of March 2002 he was released in Oldenburg after eight defeats in a row.

Taylor returned to his home country and was on the coaching staff at California Baptist University , then Pacific Christian College (later renamed Hope International University) and then worked as an assistant coach at MiraCosta College. He later worked as a fitness trainer and probation officer.
