The Anti-Germ International GmbH is an international chemical company based in Memmingen . The group is active in the manufacture of cleaning agents and disinfectants for the food and beverage industry as well as agriculture. With around 420 employees and 13 subsidiaries, Anti-Germ offers over 1,200 products, technologies and services in Europe and Asia .
history
Gerhard Ruff GmbH was founded in 1938. This was later renamed Anti-Germ Deutschland GmbH. In 1973 Penngar SA was founded in France, which then operated under the name Anti-Germ France SA. Medentech Limited was founded in 1983 in Wexford (Ireland). In 1991 Anti-Germ Austria was re-established.
The group of companies was rebranded in 2008. In 2009 the group expanded to Poland through the acquisition of Chimtec and to the Czech Republic and Slovakia through the takeover of Merak. The Argochem business in Hungary was then taken over. By entering the Chinese market through the acquisition of Eclean and expanding the German business through the acquisition of Hyproclean, Schindler and Ekuline, Anti-Germ achieved another significant corporate development. The French direct agricultural sales force Primalab was also acquired in 2009.
As a result of the acquisition of the Anti-Germ Group from previous owner Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL) by the management and the German investment company Paragon Partners , the group of companies was rebranded again in 2015 and esteer Pharma GmbH was acquired. and the establishment of Anti-Germ Ibérica SLU in Spain. In 2016 the company Anti-Germ Romania was founded and a second sales office was opened in the USA.
At the beginning of April 2017, Anti-Germ announced a merger with its French competitor Hypred . The merged company will have around 800 employees and a turnover of around 180 million. Generate €. The merger of the two companies creates the world's third largest supplier of cleaning and disinfecting agents for the food processing industry and agriculture. The regional reach of the company is increased by the national companies that Hypred brings into the merger. These include a. Spain and Italy but also a strong South American business in Argentina, Brazil and Peru. The merger of the companies is made possible by the sale of the shares held by Paragon Partners to the French financial investor Adrian , who had already acquired the shares in Hypred in October 2016 from the former owner of the French family company Group Roullier .
