Antiwar.com is a website that claims to be devoted to fighting wars of aggression, imperialism and, in this context, attacks on freedom. The editors describe their political orientation as libertarian . The site has been the main project of the Randolph Bourne Institute , based in Atherton, California , since December 1995 .

Its stated aim is "to show how the" imperialist tendencies "of the American government would lead to a loss of civil liberties and a concentration of political power".
