Antoine Julen

Antoine Julen or Anton Julen (born February 20, 1898 in Zermatt ; † 1982 ) was a Swiss cross-country skier from Zermatt who won the gold medal in the military patrol at the first Olympic Winter Games in Chamonix in 1924 .

The Swiss team, which consisted of Alfred Aufdenblatten , Alphonse Julen , Antoine Julen and Denis Vaucher , took first place in the competition ahead of Finland and France .

He was the brother of Alphonse Julen and the cousin of the Olympian Oswald Julen ( Nordic combined ) and the cross-country skier Simon Julen .
