Antoine Tisné

Antoine Tisné (born November 29, 1932 in Lourdes , † 1998 in Paris ) was a French composer.

Tisné studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with Georges Hugon , Noël Gallon , Darius Milhaud , Jean Rivier and André Jolivet and received first prizes in counterpoint, harmony, fugue and composition. In 1962 he won the first Second Grand Prix de Rome .

From 1967 to 1992 he was music inspector at the French Ministry of Culture, then inspector for the city conservatories in Paris. He has received numerous prizes for his compositions: the Prix ​​de la Fondation Copley , the Prix ​​Halphen , the Prix ​​Lili Boulanger , the Prix ​​de la Fondation Koussevitsky , the Prix ​​Casa Velasquez , the Grand Prix musical de la Ville de Paris and the Prix ​​des compositeurs de la Sacem .

Tisné's funeral was held on July 23, 1998 in the Paris church of Saint-Christophe-de-Javel .
