Antonín Brousek
Antonín Brousek (born September 25, 1941 in Prague , † May 1, 2013 in Jindřichův Hradec ) was a Czech poet and literary critic .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1958, Brousek studied Czech and Russian at the Charles University in Prague until 1961 , but did not graduate, but worked as an editor for various magazines, most recently for the important magazine Literární noviny during the Prague Spring .
In 1969 Brousek received a scholarship to study in the Federal Republic of Germany; from this stay he did not return to Czechoslovakia. From 1970 to 1976 he studied Slavic, German and comparative literature, first worked as a freelance journalist and then worked as a lecturer and lecturer in Cologne (1979–1982, 1985–1987) and Hamburg (1987–1998). Since 1989 he has published again in his home country.
