Anton Biersack (born November 30, 1907 in Greding , Middle Franconia ; † November 18, 1982 in Bad Vilbel ) was a German composer .

Life

Anton Biersack was born as the son of a wagon master and farmer Anton Biersack and his wife Walburg. They had six children. In his youth, the tax officer and former military musician Ehmann learned to play the violin. He studied 1926-28 at the cathedral organist school in Eichstätt and then from 1928-32 at the Würzburg Conservatory composition, conducting, piano and organ. From 1932 to 1936 he was a Mozart scholar at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main, and from 1936 to 1840 he taught theory and headed the orchestra preschool. From 1940 to 1945 he did military service. 1945–1947 he was choir and orchestra leader at the Frankfurt University of Musicactive, from 1947 as a lecturer there. In 1957 he was appointed head of the orchestra training department at the Frankfurt University of Music , and in 1960 he was appointed full professor.

He was with Agathe, geb. Laur, (1910-1996) married. He spent his retirement in Bad Vilbel .
