Anton David (Jesuit)

Anton David (born May 20, 1851 in Willebadessen , North Rhine-Westphalia ; † May 7, 1931 in Feldkirch , Vorarlberg ) was an author, educator and Jesuit .

Life

During his studies in theology and German language and literature , he entered the Jesuit order in Münster in 1872 . He was first educator, then prefect of studies and prefect general and from 1910 rector of the Jesuit college Stella Matutina in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg. After his retirement in 1921 he became director of the retreat house St. Josef in neighboring Tisis , today a district of Feldkirch.
