Anton Diehl

Anton Diehl (born January 10, 1928 in Mainz ; † October 10, 2008 there ) was a German state politician ( SPD ). From 1979 to 1987 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .

Life

Diehl attended elementary school and then originally learned the trade of machine fitter. In 1944 he passed the journeyman's examination and worked as a machine fitter from 1945 to 1955. At Heidelberger Zement in Weisenau , he had been the works council chairman since 1955 and chairman of the general works council since 1960. In 1946 he joined the SPD, in 1960 he was elected to the city council of Mainz and in 1979 to the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate. <! —- this link is also no longer up-to-date —-> During his parliamentary work he was a member of the environmental committee and in the Petitions Committee.

Since 1946 he was a member of IG Bau-Steine-Erden , where he was a member of the board of the Mainz district association and deputy chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate / Saarland state association, member of the board of directors and deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Steinbruchs-Berufsgenossenschaft, based in Hanover, member of the supervisory board of Heidelberger Zement AG, chairman of the AfA Mainz, until 1972 chairman of the SPD senior citizens' organization "AG 60 plus" in Rheinhessen and member of the federal committee.
