Anton Ernst von Neipperg
Anton Ernst Graf von Neipperg (born December 18, 1883 in Hirschberg in Bohemia, † December 28, 1947 in Schwaigern ) was a German politician and landowner from the family of the Counts of Neipperg .
Life
Anton Ernst von Neipperg, with full name Maria Anton Ernst Reinhard Johannes von Nepomuk Franz von Sales Joseph Hubertus Gratianus Graf von Neipperg , was the second-born son of Reinhard von Neipperg and succeeded him in 1919 as head of his house, since the older brother Eberhard (1882 –1956) renounced the line of origin for health reasons. His younger brother Adalbert von Neipperg was a dedicated Benedictine monk who is venerated as a martyr. The sister Michaela von Neipperg (1885–1957) was also a Benedictine and worked as a religious superior in Constance .
Anton Ernst von Neipperg initially served in the Prussian Army and achieved the rank of Rittmeister in the First World War . After his military service, he devoted himself to the administration of family property. He was chairman of the Association of Catholic Nobles in Southwest Germany . In 1930 he acted as President of the 69th General Assembly of Catholics in Germany in Münster .
He was politically committed to the German Center Party and was a member of the last parliament of the free people's state of Württemberg in 1933 , which, however, met only once to pass an “enabling law” for Württemberg on June 8, 1933 . Then the state parliament was abolished on January 30, 1934.
family
Anton Ernst von Neipperg married Anna Countess von Silva-Tarouca (1888–1971) in 1911, from whom he had four children. His eldest son Karl Reinhard (1915–1941) fell in Russia during the Second World War , so that the family property passed to the second son Joseph Hubert (* 1918).

Since 1927 he was an honorary member of the Catholic student association AV Guestfalia Tübingen .
