Anton Kowalczyk
Brother Anton Kowalczyk OMI (born June 4, 1866 - † July 10, 1947 in Edmonton , Alberta ) was an Oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .
Anton Kowalczyk was born in Silesia . Due to the poverty of his family, he spent a few years in Germany where he was able to find work. He eventually entered the religious community of Oblate Missionaries . As a brother, he led a life of profound humility and obedience. After losing an arm in an accident, he lived in the Oblate Study House in Edmonton, Canada.
Anton Kowalczyk is in a process of beatification in Rome .
