Anton Mitterwurzer (actor)

Anton Mitterwurzer , stage name Anthony (born September 6, 1870 in Leipzig , † after 1902 ) was an Austrian actor and brewer.

Life

Mitterwurzer, son of the actors and actresses Friedrich and Wilhelmine Mitterwurzer , devoted himself to the stage career after he had originally learned the brewery and was engaged as a comedian on various German stages under the name "Anthony", but returned to his original profession in 1898. He went to America ( Milwaukee ), where he held a senior position in a brewery. His further life is unknown. When his mother died in Vienna in 1909, advertisements were placed in newspapers several times in vain asking him to register in order to take over the inheritance. In 1916 an application was made to declare him dead.
