Anton Pain Ratu
Anton Pain Ratu SVD (born January 2, 1929 in Tanah Boleng ) is an Indonesian Roman Catholic former bishop of Atambua .
Life
Anton Pain Ratu joined the religious order of Steyler Missionaries and was ordained a priest on August 17, 1958 . On April 2, 1982, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Atambua and titular bishop of Zaba .
The bishop emeritus of Atambua Theodorus van den Tillaart SVD donated him the episcopal ordination on September 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francis Xavier Sudartanta Hadisumarta OCarm , Bishop of Malang , Donatus Djagom SVD, Archbishop of Ende and Gregorius Manteiro SVD, Bishop of Kupang .
On February 3, 1984, he was appointed Bishop of Atambua . On June 2, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
