Anton Paul Lechner

Anton Paul Lechner (born September 27, 1792 in Dunaharaszti , † February 4, 1860 in Vienna ) was an Austrian merchant , iron merchant, member of the first municipal council elected in Vienna in 1848 and a member of the board of the Brunner-Brau-Aktien-Gesellschaft .

Life

Anton Paul Lechner, born in today's Hungary , began a successful career as a businessman in the company Franz Winkler & Söhne, where he was a partner of the company owner Franz Winkler von Forazest (1791–1860). He founded a hardware company, ran other shops in Vienna and, as a board member, expanded the "Brunner-Brau-Aktien-Gesellschaft" to become the "Brunner Brauhaus-Unternehmens-Aktiengesellschaft".

Lechner lived in Leopoldstadt , where he owned a house. On May 29, 1827 he married Magdalena Federl, born on April 9, 1807, with whom he had two daughters and a son. In 1848 he was elected to the first Vienna City Council, which was constituted after the revolution of 1848 .

After his death he was buried in the Sankt Marxer Friedhof .
