Anton Rúnarsson (born July 20, 1988 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player .

Career

Anton Rúnarsson played in his home country for Valur Reykjavík , with whom he took part in the EHF Champions League in the 2007/08 season . From 2012 he played in the Danish Jack & Jones Ligaen for Nordsjælland Håndbold . In 2014, the 1.88-meter-tall backcourt player moved to the German second division TV Emsdetten , with whom he signed a two-year contract. After the end of his contract, he returned to Valur Reykjavík.

Anton played 65 international matches for the Icelandic junior national team.
