Anton Raubal

Anton "Toni" Raubal (born April 20, 1968 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a former German ice hockey player . He played as a defender in the ice hockey Bundesliga and in the German ice hockey league . Most recently he was employed as an assistant trainer for the Dresdner Eislöwen in the DEL2 . His brother Andreas was also an ice hockey player and now works as an ice hockey coach.

Career

Raubal began his professional career in 1985 at SC Riessersee . In the first year he scored 15 points scorer as a defender. In the summer of 1987 he joined the Mannheim ERC and played 104 games for the Mannheim team in three years. In 1990 he moved to EV Landshut . After three years in Landshut , he joined SV Bayreuth for two years , which was part of the 2nd national ice hockey league, and then switched to the newly founded German ice hockey league with the Frankfurt Lions .

The 1995/96 season brought his statistically best DEL season with a total of 19 points. From 1997 Raubal only played in lower-class clubs, including the Heilbronner EC , Moskitos Essen , the Braunlager EHC / Harz and the EC Bad Nauheim . He ended his career in Essen in 2007 and became assistant coach at the same club under head coach Jari Pasanen . After the insolvency of Moskitos Essen, he followed Pasanen to the Schwenninger Wild Wings, where he again formed the coaching team with Pasanen in the 2008/09 season . Pasanen was fired a little later and replaced by Kim Collins. Raubal stayed with the SERC. Between 2009 and September he stood next to the new Schwenninger trainer Axel Kammerer with the swans. After Kammerer was dismissed in September 2011, Raubal temporarily took over the coaching office.

From August 2013 Raubal was assistant trainer at the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 , before he asked for personal reasons to terminate his contract in August 2015.
