Anton Saurer

Anton Saurer (born April 28, 1835 in Tablat ; † March 12, 1872 ) was the eldest son of Franz Saurer and a co- entrepreneur in his father's business ( Adolph Saurer AG ) in Arbon . Thanks to his support, Franz Rittmeyer and Franz Anton Vogler were able to significantly improve the hand embroidery machines, which helped St. Gallen embroidery to its major breakthrough. He died of appendicitis when he was 37 years old .
