Anton Schlueter (entrepreneur)

Anton Schlueter (born June 13, 1867 in Brilon ; † March 2, 1949 ) was a German entrepreneur and founder of the tractor manufacturer Anton Schlueter in Munich .

Anton Schlüter was born the son of a landowner in Brilon ( Sauerland ) and had four siblings. He completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic, construction and art fitter. After completing his apprenticeship, Anton Schlueter went on a tour which ultimately led him to the city of Freising . Here he met his future wife Susanne Schlueter, geb. Samer, know. Together they had their first child, Anton Schlueter junior, in 1888.

In 1899, Anton Schlueter founded the company "Anton Schlueter Munich" in a backyard and began repairing various machines as well as the independent design and construction of gasoline and multi-fuel engines . After a year he already had twelve employees and took over the representation of a Saxon engine manufacturer, which he was able to take over shortly afterwards.
