Anton Schlossar

Anton Schlossar (born June 27, 1849 in Opava , Silesia ; † August 1, 1942 in Graz ) was director of the Graz University Library and a writer.

Schlossar studied law at the University of Graz and received his doctorate in 1873. In 1875 he moved from the Graz Regional Court to the Graz University Library, where he was director from 1903 to 1910. Schlossar became known through numerous publications on the cultural history of Styria . He also wrote smaller literary works. His estate is in the possession of the Graz University Library.

The Dr.-Anton-Schlossar-Weg and the Dr.-Schlossar-Park in Graz are named after Anton Schlossar.
