Antoni Martorell i Miralles (born March 9, 1913 in Montuïri ; † February 18, 2009 in Palma ) was a composer and teacher.

Life

He was a Franciscan and composed mostly sacred music. For many years he worked in Rome and there for the Vatican . His birthplace on the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca made him an honorary citizen . After his death, a monument to him was unveiled in front of the church of Sant Bartomeu in Montuïri.
