Antonia Lerch
Brigitte Antonia Lerch , also Brigitte Toni Lerch (born May 1, 1949 in Mainz ) is a German film director , screenwriter and film editor .
life and work
Antonia Lerch studied from 1967 to 1971 at the Kunsthochschule Mainz , from 1971 to 1974 graphic design in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main and from 1974 to 1978 theater studies and journalism at the Free University of Berlin . “She worked as an actress before she started filming in the mid-1970s. She discovers her subjects in Berlin, especially in the big nocturnal city ”.
In 1996 Lerch made the film After the Wedding . Antonia Lerch, Charles Burnett , Harun Farocki , Raoul Peck , Abderrahmane Sissako and Alexander Sokurov were asked to each one film in co-production with the documenta X to shoot. In 1997 Antonia Lerch presented the film The Last Round .
